badsoma is Armin Fard and Sarrah Wolfe. They write, and record their music at their home studio in Long Beach, California, with their noisy Devon Rex, Momo.

Lyrically audacious, badsoma fuses indie rock with vintage synths and psychedelic trickery, an immersive and at times dizzying experience, and the culmination of a decade of experimentation in makeshift settings.

The band released their first EP, Heat and Disorder, on September 9, 2023. The EP debuted at #14 on NACC’s Top 30, and #192 on the Top 200, reaching as high as #164.

Since its release, Heat and Disorder has been featured on prominent stations across the country, including WMUA Amherst, KUCR Riverside, KUCI Irvine, KCSB Santa Barbara, and KUOM Radio K Minneapolis, where the EP made the year-end Top 77 list at #41.

“[BADSOMA] may be releasing a debut, but work is already being done on the myth. This is the kind of dark, danceable pop music that makes you lose the last bus home, walk through the rain, and make out some strange excuse to your parents. Is this ever how to live your life?” — Alt77
“…‘Honey Locust Trees’ is an ideal track to groove into the weekend with, conjuring a funky and hypnotic pop charm that’s laid-back and immersive. This is a surefire success of a single from BADSOMA.” —Obscure Sound
